Based on the award-winning fantasy novel of the same name written by the author Neil Gaiman, this series tells the story of a mysterious ex-husband named Sombra. This man is released from prison a few days before serving a sentence of three years for assaulting a bank. Shadow, who looks forward to reuniting with his beloved wife Laura, sees his illusions shattered upon learning that he has died in a road accident.
After leaving prison, Sombra meets an enigmatic man who answers to the name of ‘Mr. Wednesday ‘and he seems to know more than he pretends about his past. After proposing to work for him, together they begin a journey through the United States in which they meet old gods of many mythologies that inhabit the Earth, as well as new idols and contemporary cult figures (money, television , Internet …), passing through a host of elements belonging to American folklore. It is on this journey that Shadow will realize that a confrontation between the new and old gods is inevitable.
